September Update - Theatre Tour & Cinema in the Park
Dear all
We hope you all had a wonderful summer.
This is a short note to invite you to a couple of upcoming events that we thought would be of interest.
Community Meeting and Novello Tour – all welcome!
We have our next community meeting to discuss progress and plans for the Novello Picturehouse Theatre on Wednesday 18 September at 20:15 in the Cordes Hall, Sunninghill.
As you know from our last mail-out, our recent focus has been on fundraising and we will give you an update on latest progress and anticipated next steps. However, the highlight of the evening will be sharing the illustrations that Andy Tropia from AT Designed architects has kindly drawn up to give an idea of what a restored Picturehouse could look like (sneak preview above!).
We’re also keen to take some time at the event to hear your ideas on how best to fundraise for the restoration. So please do come ready to share any suggestions you may have.
Finally, we’re delighted to have access to the Novello on that night and will be happy to show people around at 19:45. If you can make it to Sunninghill in advance of the meeting, please do take of advantage of this opportunity so you can get an idea of what a revamped theatre could offer to the local community.
Cinema in the Park Fundraiser – join us at Broomhall park!
On Saturday 14 September, the Cordes Hall is joining forces with Sunningdale Parish Council to host an outdoor cinema event at Broomhall Recreation Ground. We are very grateful to the organisers that they are going to direct all profits from this event towards the Save the Novello Picturehouse fund.
Starting at 19:45, the team will be showing the highly acclaimed and BAFTA nominated family blockbuster, Wonka, with tickets available using the QR code in the image or visiting the Cordes Hall website.
Picnics are welcome from 17:30 and you’ll be pleased to know that there will be a licenced bar onsite as well as tea and coffee for sale!
Tickets are £12 for adults and £5 for under 16s; buy now to avoid disappointment!
We’re looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks but if you aren’t able to attend, we will circulate a newsletter after the event to keep you updated.
Many thanks,
The Save the Novello Picturehouse Team
